DSC’s statement on the recent UK riots

The Dental Schools Council unequivocally condemns the violence, racism, islamophobia, and general intolerance that has been seen across the UK in recent days.

DSC’s primary function is to represent and support the collective interests of the UK’s dental schools, and it is proud of the diversity both across and within member institutions. DSC is in constant contact with its members and will continue working with them to ensure that students and staff are supported through this worrying time.

DSC is aware that that schools are getting in touch with students to ensure that that they know where they can go to access support, how to report discrimination and harassment and whom to contact should they feel unsafe. DSC supports this response from schools and is here to assist them in these efforts.

DSC is actively monitoring the situation and stands ready to support its members as required.
