Minister of State for Social Care and DSC Chair attend BDIA event

The Chair of the Dental Schools Council, Ewen McColl, recently hosted a keynote presentation and Q&A session with Minister of State for Care, Stephen Kinnock MP. The keynote address by minister Kinnock was given at the UK’s premier dental event held at the Excel Arena, in London, and run by the British Dental Industry Association (BDIA).

Billed as the UK’s number one Dentistry event with over 300 exhibitors and 8000 dental professionals in attendance the event and presentation were very well attended with a keenness to hear from minister Kinnock. As Minister of State for Care he is responsible for adult social care, primary care, community health, discharge, integration, end of life and palliative care and disabilities and SEND.

Minister Kinnock discussed the Labour governments aspirations to address the crisis in NHS dentistry before Ewen hosted a series of questions submitted by Dental professionals. Ewen was hosting and speaking at the Dental Update Theatre where leading clinicians from the UK presented over 2 days.
